"La molokai", hasta hace bien poco, era una carrera reservada para hawaianos, una travesia bestial que representa, posiblemente, el valor y la resistencia de la cultura hawaiana.
En el año 2009, se les ocurrio a dos locos ibericos, fernando y guillermo, sumergirse a pleno con esta cultura participando, mediante la invitacion de uno de sus maximos representantes ( ekolu kalama )en "la molokai".
Muy deprisa avanza este "deporte" sobre el globo...su practica se esta expandiendo con la misma rapidez con la que se expande una mentalidad humana nueva...la que promueve que el hombre debe volver a sus raices naturales de respeto y mantenimiento del medio ambiente...el SUP y la "nueva" conciencia caminan cogidos de la mano.
Este año, curiosamente, "la molokai " ha cubierto su cupo, es decir...no hay mas plazas señores!!!...la cultura que en su momento fue victima de la mal llamada civilizacion, vuelve ahora con mas fuerza que nunca, reclamando su sitio, el que nunca debio perder, y lo hace a traves de esta carrera enigmatica y brutal...
Por eso quiero agradecer a EKOLU y esos maravillosos locos ibericos, el hecho de que hoy podamos conocer y disfrutar de esta "carrera de una vida"

So I want to thank those wonderful crazy Ekolu and Iberian, the fact that today we know and enjoy this "race of life"
