keep the shaft of the paddle as vertical as possible at the entrance to the water, at the same time, put more weight on the edge where the paddle acts!

I've been nearly two months without getting into the water to practice sup; short trips to Cadiz and Portugal have provided me with amount and quality of waves enough to gradually improve my surfing, the waves in the Atlantic serve consistency a wave quality and inviting, at least to get into the water with the idea of seeking accommodation in one of those tubes that ceaselessly, we appear and disappear like mirages in the desert.
Now back home in the Mediterranean, had a few weeks looking at sup board with some suspicion, frankly, the weight of the lack of decent swells and waves for the drought has pushed me to raise it back to his room and put back into the water.
This morning were falling a endless lines at the beach from the tree, enter the line up was slightly complicated, one could observe from the shore that the peaks varied rocked by a southerly wind that began to disturb the eternal looked glassy. I have decided by the ease sup this gives me to move from peak to peak and fast access to the series once spotted in the skyline.
My first feeling was strange, I had the certainty that, as the practice is rapidly improving sup priocepcion (ie, balance) and this directly affects a qualitative improvement in surfing, practicing surfing and surf only those months ago i had the feeling that my sup performance on the high ground would be better .... but not the first time ... or at least not instantly, I mean.
at the beginning, the position of standing feet parallel the feeling was relatively unstable, it was something chopi, but assume that my experience would be a manageable situation, but it was actually less than expected. however, after catching the first wave and put myself in the lip, surf position in full, facing the wall, I've seen a lot more loose in the turns, better managing the roll edge to edge turning and even doing some Funny re-entries in extremis.
The conclusion of all this is, of course, the sup and surfing are sports complementary to each other, that's obvious, but there's more, the more sup lets you move to a different level you go surfing, thereby alternate arrangements can see improvement with enviable speed, in practice if only one of these two sports, it would occur in the same way.
